Episode 64
Jack was comforting a sobbing Jo in the bar of The Headless Pint.
'You should be opening up,' she spluttered, wiping her eyes.
'Don't be ridiculous, they can wait,' Jack noticed a couple of people look through the window, before walking away again.
'What's wrong with me, Jack? I thought he was the love of my life, and asked him to marry me like a complete fool. There was me, thinking it'd be romantic to use leap year, and he didn't really want it at all!'
'Then he's an idiot, he's let the best thing ever slip through his fingers...'
'Thanks, Jack, you've always been there for me. I don't really want to dump this on Kris, when she's still recovering from her own problems…’
Jack held her hand, and they looked into each others eyes for some time.
‘You’ve always been special to me, Jo, and I hate to see you hurting like this,’ with that he moved across and kissed her.

Kris, meanwhile, was helping Phil look at some property details that he’d picked up, for places in Chelmsford.
‘This one looks pretty good,’
***********************************************
Yeah, we’ve narrowed it down quite nicely,’ with only weeks left before Phil moved, they were getting on better now than ever before.
‘Chelmsford’s not that far at all is it?’ Kris suddenly added. She was getting back to her old self, but was still feeling a bit over-emotional.
‘No, only an hour and a half away, I hope you’re going to visit? And you haven’t seen the last of me!’ Kris rested her head on his shoulder, so he wouldn’t see her cry…

The atmosphere between Nathan and Lisa had been tense during the week, and Fiona and Lisa took the opportunity to have a girly night in at Holland Road.
‘Where did you say that they were going?’ Fiona asked, she always was a bit forgetful about social arrangements!
‘Oh, Nathan wanted to take Max to this new club in Norwich,’ Lisa replied, pouring Fiona a glass of wine.
‘So I expect they’ll be rolling in drunk in the early hours then!?!’
‘That’s if Nathan bothers to come home at all!’ Lisa snapped.
‘Oh yeah, didn’t he stay out all night on Friday?’ Fiona had noticed but didn’t think she should mention it until now.
‘We had a blazing row that evening...I was wondering if he might pull some teenage slut tonight and that may keep him away?…’
Fiona was shocked.
‘What’s brought this on?’
‘Well…..’
Fiona could tell that Lisa was holding back.
‘Come on, you can tell me anything, you know that…’
‘Well….it’s just that I think he’s been seeing Laura Lucas behind my back,’ Lisa sniffed.
‘Really?!’
‘No need to look so surprised, I know their history...and when I’ve seen her around, she doesn’t look to me as though she knows that we’re together, so he’s probably totally stringing the girl along…’
Fiona felt angry, she and Lisa had become good friends while living together.
‘Well, he strung her and Kris Slater along at the same time for long enough..we need to think of something to catch him out I reckon…’
In Norwich, Max and Nathan were chatting in the VIP lounge of Mercy, the massive new club on Prince of Wales Road.
‘Are you serious?’ Max gasped, swigging another mouthful of beer.
Nathan smirked, quite drunk now.
‘Yeah, they fall at my feet mate. Laura and Lisa are both mad about me...gotta please ‘em both haven’t I? Neither of them have a clue!’
