Sam and Max were enjoying a rare brotherly pint in the pub one lunchtime and putting the world to rights.
'Next England game on Wednesday, not even sure if I wanna see it now,' Sam sighed. Usually such a red hot footy supporter, he was feeling downbeat after the first two England games of the World Cup in South Africa.
Lil passed by their table, listening in as usual!
'Oh boys, show some spirit and English pride! We've got it showing in here on the big screen, you've gotta come!' She wasn't the most convincing saleswoman, but they didn't exactly take much persuading.
'Hmmm, tempting, Lil. How about some of your lovely grub to go with it?' Max asked, knowing how to get round her.
'Well, I'm going to open the kitchen early for you boys,' she winked, 'or close it late, however you wanna look at it!' She giggled like a schoolgirl as Max gave her a boyish grin.
'Sold, Lil!' As she walked away, Max turned to his brother and laughed.
'I was coming in anyway, got the day off!'
