Lisa and Nathan arrived home and slumped onto the sofa, sighing heavily. Jack was being questioned again and Lisa was starting to get used to life on a knife edge, if that was possible!
'What shall we have for tea tonight?' Lisa mumbled, holding Nathan's hand.
'Errrrm...well, we have been out all day, so it's a lot of effort to cook really!' He replied.
'Chinese or Indian?' She smiled and leaned over to kiss him. Nathan had noticed that she was more comfortable with contact with him again, after being reticent for a couple of weeks...understandably so of course!

At the police station in Norwich, Jo and Jack were leaving.
'You're sure that's the end of this?' Jo asked an Inspector.
'Yes, Miss Arnold, Mr Redfern is now free to go..'
As they walked outside into the sunshine, Jack felt his spirits lifting straight away.
'I can't believe it! Thanks so much for coming forward Jo....you didn't have to get involved, but I'm glad you did! I would tell you off for not doing it earlier, but I can't actually remember the night properly after closing time!'
Jo had approached the investigating officers to tell them that she had spent the night of Lisa's rape with Jack, providing him with an alibi. Jack had got drunk and passed out after closing time that night...or so he thought. Jo was saying otherwise now. His excitement at being free prevented him questioning it, but was she really telling the truth? Or was she just helping out the man she had fallen in love with?

Lisa and Nathan tucked into a takeaway Chinese later that evening.
'Nice balls?' Nathan asked with a grin, as she ate a sweet and sour prawn ball.
'Mmmm, they sure are!' Lisa laughed, almost spitting food out.
'You've had a good day haven't you?' He smiled, thinking about how relaxed she had been during their day off together.
'Sure have, honey...Y'know, I think everything's going to be alright! Justice will prevail and all that!'
