WEDNESDAY JUNE 15TH 2005
Nathan had gone back to the Holland Road flat last night, but quickly realised that Lisa wasn’t there, and now he was getting worried…to the extent that he pulled a sickie from work to wait for her return…
‘Oh, Lisa, where the hell are you?...’ he muttered to himself.
‘Well, I always thought that Michael Jackson was innocent, never any doubt in my mind!’ Jo declared.
‘You would say that, wouldn’t you! You always did love a bit of “Blame It On The Boogie”!’ Kris started to do the dance moves around Jo.
‘That was the Jackson Five! I always preferred his solo stuff! Now he’s been cleared, you’re going to have to stop winding me up with all those sick jokes of yours!’
‘Aww! You spoil all my fun!’ Kris whined.
‘Unlucky!’ Jo patted her on the head.
At that moment, there was a knock at the front door.
‘Oh, go away! Here comes someone else to spoil our fun! Erm…hello Mrs Arnold, how are you?’ Kris’s mood soon changed when she saw Marsha, Jo’s mother and their landlady, walk in.
‘Hello, Kristen, Don’t worry, I won’t be spoiling your fun! I’m here to make things easier for you! I’ve found someone for you girls to live with!’ Marsha grinned, as Jo and Kris’s faces fell…
Richard and Rachel had talked way into the night, and woke up together the next morning.
‘Oh, look at the time! I’d better be getting to work! Not that I want to,’
Richard stroked Rachel’s hair and kissed her.
‘I’m glad I came back….we can talk more tonight,’ she said sleepily.
‘Didn’t we do enough talking last night, darling?’ Richard asked, putting his socks on.
‘Well, no, I don’t think we have. There’s a reason that we split up.’
‘Mainly because I was working too hard, I feel bad for going to work now!’
‘Oh, don’t be daft, it’s fine. But we’ve got to take stock Rich, to make sure it doesn’t happen again!’ Rachel still worried about the future, things were only just starting to improve.
Lisa had decided to stay in Hamborough for a couple of days, to think things over. She’d booked into a Bed and Breakfast, and decided to go out for a walk that evening.
As she wandered down a country lane close to the house, she heard some rustling sounds behind her. Turning round, she couldn’t see anything at all.
The sounds continued…followed by what she thought were footsteps in the half light behind her…
‘Hello? Hello?! Is there anybody there?!’ She thought it might have been Nathan, playing some kind of stupid prank…but he didn’t know where she was did he?!
‘Hey! You don’t scare me! Come on!’ She tried to be defiant, but her voice trembled with fear now, as a figure appeared from the shadows
